The text for Number of Transformer Failures is missing. It should be the first line in the table:
|
Number of transformer failures
|
|
% of time transformers out of service [automatic]
|
|
% of time transformers out of service [non-automatic]

SO35
|
Since the question asks for hours, but has a label of %, which do we want? We decided hours — so if you could put that on FAQ page, and correct the on-line questionnaire, that would be great. (also correct on your master Excel version of the questionnaire so its right for next year)
Also on SO35 — question came up of are we asking for productive OT hours, or paid time? We decided paid time. (the discussion was around the fact that some companies pay OT to people for sleep time, if they have worked a certain period of time without rest)

Note that this question takes considerable effort to prepare, but yields very useful productivity benchmarks. Please use your job estimating system to calculate these costs, not the actuals.

Right of Way mile is a mile of right of way, regardless of width of the right of way. Structure mile is a mile of structures supporting one or more circuits. A mile of right of way containing two sets of structures would be two structure miles, but one right of way mile. It is also possible to have structure miles on public streets or in roadway medians, etc, that are not on any right of way.

Subject for discussion at the DRC:
There was a discussion about shift work and the shifts that people are on — do they rotate, how is that done, etc. We agreed we will want to discuss that for a short while at the DRC, since we don’t have questions about that in the questionnaire.
Changes to make for 2012:
Question SO65 — want to split construction from maintenance, since they’re often very different for contracting %
Organization question — add a question regarding where the meter reading function is — either in T&D org or in CS org. We have that question in our CS study, but not in T&D, so we want to add it.
Alternative fuel vehicles — add a question regarding what are available fuels for alternative vehicles |
