- Performance Improvement Development, documentation, and implemetnation of an improved approach to Project Management, designed to enable the completion of a substantially increased capital program. (Large East-Coast holding company). Documentation of the existing T&D capital budgeting process, along with recommendations for improvements for the future (Large East-Coast holding company)
- Regulatory Support Development of cost and reliability performance comparisons in support of rates proceedings (Separate Transmission and Distribution projects for large Canadian T&D operator). Rates support for a large Canadian retailer, establishing the fair market value for a range of customer care and billing services. Developing a set of metrics and the underlying process for use of benchmarks in regulation of electric utilities
- Business Strategy Working with a major international Asset Management company to develop the appropriate organization and cost structure for a new company set up to own a new transmission asset.
- Benchmarking for Process Improvement Developed benchmarks and targets for the T&D group of a large West-Coast utility as part of a larger business transformation project. Working with another consulting firm, developed the benchmarks and targets for a large-scale business transformation for a major Eastern utility’s Distribution business unit. 1QC provided the content knowledge for the other firm’s process consultants.
